Responsibilities would include:
• Oversee and support technical resources that support all aspects of a 24x7 financial firm network infrastructure.
• Responsible for configuration, operation, testing and implementation of ongoing network changes, additions, expansion
• Manage network upgrades, network change control process and on-call schedule.
• Optimize the network by evaluating and improving the performance of the local and wide area networks.
• Partner with contractors, vendors and internal departments to maintain the network.
Position Requirements:
• College Degree
• Require a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with high performance network and firewall infrastructure
• Experience administering IP networking equipment - especially Cisco layer 3 switching, ASA firewalls, WLAN, VPN
• Advanced understanding of all aspects of LAN and WAN operation, load balancing, routing, topology, network protocols, and VPN
• Expertise troubleshooting IP networking problems and performance issues.
• Expertise in network monitoring, analysis, configuration and management tools.
• Must be able to effectively lead and manage teams
• Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
